  • Your toilet or bathtub has sewage coming back up
  • An empty toilet bowl
  • A foul odor coming from the yards surrounding your house or in your basement

Techniques to Fix your Sewer Backup

Our professional plumbers are able to provide multiple options to solve your sewer backup issues. When we determine the best way to solve your sewer backup we will use a combination of the following techniques to assist you.

Thorough Inspection

To fully examine the extent of the sewer obstruction we make use of a video camera inserted into your sewer pipes and use that footage to determine how much damage there is. This inspection will allow us to provide you a more accurate quote. It will also help us determine the best way to repair your pipes to prevent a sewer back up from happening in the future.

Backwater Valve

This device when installed onto your sewer line will stop any liquid in your sewer line from coming back into your house if the sewer line becomes loaded. Most backwater valves are clear so you can see them working or if they need any maintenance.

These are a huge boon in preventing future sewer backups. Not only will it prevent sewer backups but also potential floods from major rain storms coming up through your sewer line. This will help prevent not only backups but damage to the surrounding walls and floor.

Drain Snake

A drain snake or an auger is a spinning cable that is run through your sewer line to break up and clear obstructions in the line. The spinning action of the cable running through the line breaks down material in the line allowing water to pass through, and retrieving the cable can also extract blockages. This is usually the first option we will use to clear obstructions.

Hydro Jetting

Hydro jetting is the process of using high pressurized water at multiple angles, both forward and backwards to both break up and push any blockages in your sewer line. This method is better than using a drain snake at clearing stubborn or larger clogs from the line. If snaking does not work we will try hydro jetting your sewer line next.
